Community guidelines

This forum is a friendly place to talk about GGA Designs projects and everything around them. It's run by one person, so it relies on a few clear rules, some automatic checks and help from members. By posting you agree to these guidelines and the site's Terms.

The rules

  • Be respectful. Disagree with ideas, not people.
  • No harassment, threats, hate speech or slurs, and nothing that targets a person or group.
  • No spam, advertising, affiliate links or repeated self-promotion.
  • No illegal, sexual, violent or shocking content, and nothing that shares someone's private details.
  • Keep topics in the right category and on topic. Search before posting.
  • One account per person. Don't impersonate others or dodge a ban with a new account.

How moderation works

  • Confirmed email: you need to confirm your email address before you can post.
  • New members: your first few posts, and early posts with links or images, are checked by a moderator before everyone can see them. You can see them straight away; there's just a short wait before they go public.
  • Language filter: common swear words are automatically replaced with ****. Slurs and threats are blocked, and the post isn't published.
  • Reports: any member can report a post (the Report button under each post). If several members report the same post, it's hidden automatically until a moderator reviews it.
  • Posting limits: brand-new accounts can only post a few times an hour.

What happens if you break the rules

Depending on how serious it is, and whether it's happened before, a moderator may:

  1. Edit or remove the post.
  2. Make your account read-only for 1, 7 or 30 days: you can still read, but not post, reply, like or report.
  3. Ban your account temporarily or permanently. You'll see the reason when you try to sign in.
  4. Spam and serious abuse get an immediate permanent ban, and all of that account's posts are deleted.

Moderation actions are logged. If you think a decision was wrong, email grant@ggadesigns.com and it will be looked at again.

Your data

You can download or delete your account at any time from Settings. See the Privacy Policy for what's stored and why.
